FAQs

1. Application Process

  • Start by completing our short application form. We welcome professionals with 15+ years of experience across industries and roles who are contemplating or navigating a career transition. We’re looking for individuals ready to engage with a like-minded, accomplished community, people who are as eager to contribute as they are to grow.

  • If your application is a fit, you’ll be invited to a short discovery conversation with one of our co-founders. This is a two-way conversation: we want to understand your goals and ensure we’re the right match for where you are in your transition and you’ll get the chance to learn more about the program and ask questions.

  • If you're placed on the waitlist, it may be for one of the following reasons:

    • You don’t yet meet our criteria for this particular cohort.

    • We haven’t yet formed a group that’s the right fit for your profile, experience, or timing.

    • The upcoming cohort is full. We’ll reach out as soon as the right opportunity opens up.

  • Absolutely. What’s Next is a global community, and our members come from all over the world. As long as you’re comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in English, you are warmly welcome to apply.

  • We thoughtfully curate each cohort to ensure psychological safety, diversity of experience, and alignment with our core values. We’re not looking for perfection; we’re looking for openness, generosity, and a readiness to reflect and explore.

  • Not at all. Some participants come with a strong sense of what they want to do next; others are just beginning to explore. Our process is designed to meet you where you are.

  • Not necessarily. Some of our participants are in-between roles, others are still working and planning their transition thoughtfully. The only requirement is that you’re ready to take this process seriously.

  • Our participants are senior professionals with diverse backgrounds, founders, corporate leaders, creatives and consultants who’ve built successful careers and are now seeking more purpose, alignment, or reinvention in their next chapter.

  • Yes. You’ll hear back from us either way. If you’re not admitted or placed on a waitlist, we’ll do our best to let you know why and offer any next steps.

2. About the Cohort Experience & Expectations

  • What’s Next’s curriculum is an invitation to experience intentional, facilitated growth, requiring your commitment to show up and engage. The environment, the content, and the collective energy of your cohort do the rest, guiding you to achieve your most audacious goals. The curriculum is the product of extensive research and has been honed over many hours of meetings with a diverse global group of leaders and innovators. It blends scientific principles of effective group dynamics with proven coaching practices to foster individual brilliance and collective growth. Here's what to expect:

Structure: Each meeting is carefully structured with a unique goal, agenda, and outcomes.

Progression: Each meeting is carefully sequenced so that insights and actions from each meeting drive progress for the next.

Homework: In between our sessions, participants are given homework that will help cement the learnings of the session and prepare you for the next one. We also urge all participants to make time for their weekly small group meeting.

Expert facilitation: Every session is led by a highly trained facilitator to guarantee efficient use of time, equitable participation, and a safe space for confidential dialog.

Practical value: Each meeting is engineered to yield practical strategies you can immediately put to work in your personal and professional life, propelling you closer to your goals.

Perhaps most importantly, our workshops are dynamic and we are always iterating to make it progressively better.

  • This is a guided yet flexible experience where we meet weekly for 90-minute guided online sessions every two weeks. Each session builds on the previous one, creating a journey of reflection, exploration, and experimentation. Sessions include discussions, interactive exercises, and small group work. In between the main sessions, you’ll be asked to participate in a 60-minute small group session designed to deepen your learning.

  • In between the online sessions, there will be reflection exercises and small tasks to deepen your experience. You can expect to spend around 2–3 hours per week in addition to weekly meetings, but it’s up to you how much you engage outside of our gatherings.

  • No, this is not about forcing a big decision. Our focus is to provide a framework and on giving you space to explore, reflect, and gain clarity on your own terms. You set the pace for your journey.

  • We understand—life happens. While we encourage you to attend each live session (as they build on one another), you’ll be able to stay connected through session summaries and your small group.

  • There will be invitations—small prompts and exercises—to help you reflect between sessions. These are designed to enrich your experience. The more you give, the more you will get out of the twelve weeks.

  • Expect open mic 🎤 and open cam 🎥! This is not a webinar but a collaborative space where we co-create the experience together. You’ll also have opportunities for small group discussions, reflections, and sharing.

  • Everything shared in this space stays in this space. We ask all participants to respect each other’s privacy so we can build a safe, trust-based environment.

  • Yes! We create a WhatsApp group after the first session to continue conversations, share insights, and stay in touch.

3. Personal Readiness & Participation

  • If you’re feeling the need to pause, reflect, or rethink what’s next, this space is for you—whether you're actively pivoting or just exploring possibilities.

  • That’s completely fine! This is a space for discovery. You don’t need to have answers, just curiosity and openness to explore different perspectives.

  • Only as much as you’re comfortable with. While personal stories can enrich the experience, we respect different levels of sharing and encourage participation in a way that feels right for you.

  • We get it, vulnerability is a journey. This is a judgment-free zone where you can engage at your own pace. You’ll never be forced to share more than you want to.

  • Come with an open mind and open heart. Participate actively, engage with others, and take small steps outside your comfort zone. The twelve weeks are as much about the process we will provide as the sharing within the community. The more you put in, the more you’ll gain.
